Hello there! My name is Kavya, and I’m 13 years old. I’m in 9th grade at Renaissance High School. My role on the team is very flexible, as I do mechanical, programming, and media. Out of these, I am best at programming and enjoy it most. I have done a lot of coding before FTC, from Hour of Code in elementary school to computer vision and artificial intelligence in 7th grade. I am also taking a year-long engineering course as an elective at school. I love reading novels, geeking out on nerdy memes, STEM in general, creative writing, drawing, and, of course, robotics. I’m especially obsessed with Keeper of the Lost Cities, everything Rick Riordan, and Harry Potter. I also enjoy coming up with crazy ideas on both the programming and the mechanical side of robotics, and the thing I love about robotics is how much room there is to be creative. I’m not sure what I want to do as an adult, but I know that I want to make a positive impact on the world using STEM.
